New Jersey's three nuclear power plants typically supply more than one-half of the state's net electricity generation.

New Jersey has no crude oil production, but it features three oil refineries, including ConocoPhillips’ Bayway Refinery. The facility is one of the largest on the East Coast, and it can process up to 238,000 barrels of crude oil a day.

New Jersey is the first state to establish a carve-out for offshore wind energy as part of its renewable portfolio standard.
